Forces Support joins forces with The Veterans Charity in 3-year funding deal that will support 1500 Veterans in hardship
We are thrilled to announce new funding from Forces Support which will enable us to deliver support to 500 Veterans a year for the next 3 years!
Forces Support, founded in 2010, is known for the practical support it provides to bereaved families and its collaborations with partner organisations who deliver support to former forces personnel.
This week, the charity has confirmed its latest partnership with The Veterans Charity who provide immediate needs support to hundreds of Veterans each year.
The Veterans Charity has become known as the rapid reaction force, delivering essential support including food shopping, utilities support, clothing and footwear and communications devices.
Around 75% of the charity’s caseload is referred by other organisations and military charities.
Danny Greeno, CEO of The Veterans Charity said
“Over the last few years, we have seen demand for our support increase significantly whilst our fundraising efforts have been hampered by the pandemic. The funding announced by Forces Support is incredible and means that we will now be able to continue delivering support whilst being able to further our reach to other organisations and Veterans to ensure they know where to turn in times of crisis.”
Carol Reynolds, CEO of Forces Support, said,
“Forces Support is excited to be working in partnership with The Veteran Charity. We have been operating for over 10 years, helping bereaved families who have lost loved ones who served in the Armed Forces, and we support veterans too. Our new partnership will provide funding for The Veterans Charity and enable us to continue to support those who served.”
