The Black Dog Walking Club started for members of HM Forces, Veterans & their families to get out in nature & walk & talk (or not). However it is now open to all over 18's who struggle with Anxiety, Depression, Loneliness, Stress & PTSD.

Looking after our mental wellbeing has never been so important and there is no better way to help achieve that than through social interaction, exercise and with help from others!

The Black Dog Walking Clubs currently meet in both Cornwall (Gwinear) and North Devon (Fremington) and we aim to expand into many other locations around the UK so that more people can benefit from the great camaraderie, friendship, support and exercise.

Details of the meetings can be found on our Black Dog Walking Club Facebook Page. The meetings are free to join and dogs are not compulsory but very welcome!

The name of the Black Dog Walking Club was inspired by Sir Winston Churchill's use of the phrase when referring to the fits of depression he would suffer from.
