Building confidence, resilience and independence.

Free practical tools, guides and advice to help veterans overcome hardship, strengthen financial wellbeing and build a more secure future.

The Veterans Toolkit has been created by The Veterans Charity to help veterans and their families take greater control of everyday finances, reduce household costs and build greater resilience for the future.

We understand that financial pressure can affect anyone. Rising living costs, unexpected bills, changes in employment, ill health or difficulties adjusting to civilian life can all place additional strain on a household. Whatever your circumstances, you do not have to wait until things reach crisis point before taking positive action.

This growing collection of free, practical resources brings together clear guidance, useful information and simple tools that you can use at your own pace. Whether you want to understand where your money is going, make your food budget stretch further, reduce energy use or find a way forward with debt, the Veterans Toolkit is here to help.

Support that goes beyond the immediate crisis

The Veterans Charity is proud to provide rapid assistance to veterans experiencing hardship. However, our support is about more than meeting an immediate need.

We also want to help veterans strengthen their financial wellbeing, feel more confident making everyday decisions and reduce the risk of hardship returning. The Veterans Toolkit is an important part of that commitment and will continue to grow as we add further tools, guidance and resources.

The Veterans Toolkit has been created to provide practical guidance, trusted information and helpful resources that can support members of the Armed Forces Community in improving their financial resilience and day-to-day wellbeing. Whilst it does not replace professional advice, it aims to equip you with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to make informed decisions, access specialist support where needed and take positive steps towards greater stability and independence.

You can return to the Toolkit whenever you need it, use the resources as often as you wish and work through each section in the way that is most helpful to you.
