We received a referral from the Help for Heroes Official team at Phoenix House to support a Veteran that they are dealing with.

The Veteran in question has suffered a relationship breakdown and is having to move to a new home however, due to mental health issues, they are not currently working and therefore reliant on benefits income.

They will not have a cooker at the new property and do not have the funds to be able to buy one so, Help For Heroes asked if we can assist.

So, today we placed an order for a brand new cooker which will be delivered once the Veteran has moved in to their new home.

During our conversations, it also came to light that finances are so tight that the Veteran has been relying on food banks to get by and their ageing dog has been surviving on just rice - not a good situation so, we have also sorted a comprehensive food shopping delivery which includes a huge bag of wholesome dog food.

We are proud to work with many other charities and organisations who deal with Veterans and even more proud that we can get the most urgent matters resolved without fuss or delay, preventing further distress to our beneficiaries.
