RAPID REACTION HELPS FORMER QLR SOLDIER
On Saturday 22nd April, we received a call from a former Queen's Lancashire Regt soldier who had been put in contact with us by the MOD Veterans Welfare Service.
He has been forced to take several months of work due to an injury and as he is self-employed, his income has suffered horrendously.
He has found himself with no money and no food and was expecting to have to visit the food bank on Monday to survive - not on our watch!
A large food shop will be delivered directly to him on Monday morning with enough food and hygiene/personal products to last him 2-3 weeks.
We have now provided vital provisions to 103 Veterans who have been facing dire hardships so far this year.
No red tape - Just support!
