QUICK RESPONSE BRINGS SMILES AND A FUTURE
We received a request from The Beacon in Catterick earlier today to help a former 1 LANCS soldier who is living there at present.
He left the Army after 5 years service last year and found himself homeless. He was housed by The Beacon, a specialist facility for single homeless Veterans, in December.
He has recently completed training courses at The Beacon, has gained his SIA licence and has been offered a Door Supervisor role which starts this weekend! Unfortunately, he does not have the required clothing and with minimum benefits as his only income, he does not have the funds to purchase what he needs and faces the prospect of not being able to start work - something he desperately wants to do to begin rebuilding his life.
We are proud to report that he will be taking delivery of all the clothing he requires in the next 2 days and is now looking forward to beginning a new and exciting chapter!
A quick response to a distressing situation can make a huge difference!
