On Wednesday 3rd April, Peter Heaton-Jones, MP for North Devon, where we are proudly based, joined a very important Parliamentary debate on Veterans mental health and the dire need for greater support.

Peter mentioned that there is a growing problem amongst our Veterans community and that much greater support is required.

Pressure is growing on the Government to ensure that detailed statistics are recorded on the terrible problem of Veterans suicide. Such data is crucial if the proper support is to be delivered and budgeted for.

The debate was encouraged by Stephen Morgan, MP for Portsmouth, as a result of meetings he has held with various organisations including our friends from All Call Signs.

We are very proud that Peter not only championed the need for greater support but also took the opportunity to give The Veterans Charity and The Forces March a mention.

Comprehensive support for our Veterans must begin with our Government and it is great to see some MPs are getting behind this most important of causes.
