THE VETERANS CHARITY AWARDED ARMED FORCES COVENANT GRANT

We are very proud to announce that we have been awarded a grant of £24,000 by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust!

The grant will enable us to continue to meet the urgent needs of Veterans and their families who sadly find themselves in hardship at this difficult time.

Yesterday afternoon, we received a referral for help for David, a Royal Navy Veteran who is very partially sighted and living alone. Due to the risks to his health, he is sensibly isolating at present but is now unable to get the essential provisions that he needs.

THE VETERANS CHARITY DELIVERS ONCE AGAIN

Yesterday afternoon, we received another urgent referral from our colleagues at Blind Veterans UK who asked for help with essential provisions for one of their members; an 83 year old Royal Artillery Veteran.

He is registered blind and also suffers with COPD and although he is in excellent spirits (a real character!), he is highly vulnerable in the current circumstances and unable to get food and household supplies.

RAPID REACTION TO SUPPORT A VULNERABLE VETERAN IN ISOLATION

Yesterday afternoon, we received a referral from Blind Veterans UK for a 91 year old Veteran of the Army Catering Corps who has had to isolate himself.

He is now facing a very difficult situation as the person he usually relies on for support is unable to visit as they are taking precautions themselves.

THOUSANDS RAISED AT THE FIRST EVER VC BALL

On Friday 22nd November, we held the first ever 'VC Ball' at The Bristol Pavilion. The evening was organised by Ian Parsons, our Bristol Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator.

A fantastic evening was enjoyed by close to 150 supporters and over £4500 was raised for The Veterans Charity.

HUNDREDS GET INKED AT TATTOO DAY FOR THE VETERANS CHARITY
