RAPID SUPPORT FOR A FAMILY IMPACTED BY COVID-19
Yesterday morning, we received a Support request from a Veteran of the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment, asking for urgent help.
Matthew is a single parent of two children and works part time as a self-employed taxi driver. One of his children returned to school this week but was sent home after a short time as another pupil at the school had tested positive for COVID-19. Matthew and his family have been told to isolate for 14 days.
The grant will enable us to continue to meet the urgent needs of Veterans and their families who sadly find themselves in hardship at this difficult time.
NEVER TOO LATE TO ASK FOR HELP
Yesterday afternoon, we received a referral for help for David, a Royal Navy Veteran who is very partially sighted and living alone. Due to the risks to his health, he is sensibly isolating at present but is now unable to get the essential provisions that he needs.

We are incredibly proud to welcome two new Official Ambassadors to the VC Family; Jo Jukes and Glyn Dewis.
Jo has campaigned for better understanding and support for the families of Veterans who take their own lives, after she lost her husband, Cpl Dave Jukes, to suicide in 2018.
Glyn is a world-renowned photographer who created the remarkable 3945 Portraits Project which featured portraits of dozens of WW2 Veterans. Their photos and stories have been published in a superb book.
