We are experiencing unprecedented levels of demand for our support at this challenging time for the UK. Our rapid response to the immediate needs of those facing hardship is needed more than ever now and our team is working hard to deliver essential support to those in isolation and/or hardship.

Due to the extraordinary levels of demand and the strain on our finances, we are prioritising support on food shopping, smart meter tops ups and mobile phone calling credit to ensure that our beneficiaries have what they most need to get through the current period of social distancing measures.

Stay at home to stop coronavirus spreading

Everyone must stay at home to help stop the spread of coronavirus.

You should only leave the house for 1 of 4 reasons:

  • shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible

  • one form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle – alone or with members of your household

  • any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person

  • travelling to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home

These 4 reasons are exceptions – even when doing these activities, you should be minimising time spent outside of the home and ensuring you are 2 metres apart from anyone outside of your household.

Our team are working hard to deliver vital support to vulnerable Veterans during the present time and also working with many other organisations to ensure support can be offered to those who are struggling.

To assist with notifying your neighbours and passers by if you require assistance whilst self-isolating, we have created a set of coloured message cards which can be clearly and easily displayed in your window or on a glass door (from the inside is recommended for hygiene).

The message cards are clearly coloured GREEN/AMBER/RED to give a clear indication of your household status.

Please follow the instructions below.

Please check your neighbours to see if they would need a set printed for them - not everyone has a computer or printer.
