101Sqn RAF REACH NEW HEIGHTS ON MT. SNOWDON
Yesterday, members of the Charity Committee from 101 Sqn who are based at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, set off to scale Mount Snowdon in aid of The Veterans Charity.
We were delighted to learn this morning that every member of the team made it safely up and down the mountain despite battling heavy rain at the summit and all the way through their descent to the bottom.
Team member, Emma Hart said "We are all a bit sore today though as you can imagine.
We completed it in an average of 4 hours 45 (not including the stop we had at the top) and 29000 steps. The weather got worse the closer we got to the top and it rained the whole way down, but we did it as a team and we are all very proud of one another."
Our sincerest thanks and congratulations to the team who also completed a sponsored silence in aid of The Veterans Charity earlier this year.
The team have so far raised £385 for the Snowdon climb!
