Putting smiles on faces

In the past 3 days we have supplied 'modest provisions' to Veterans that most of us would take completely for granted but yet when delivered quickly, can make a real difference to the lives of those who have served and now need our help.Here are just some of the things we've given:

 

  • Mountain bike
  • Carp fishing set
  • TV/DVD unit x 2
  • Microwave Oven x 2
  • Hoover
  • Set of saucepans and a frying pan x 2
  • Set of plates, bowls and saucers x 2
  • Cutlery set x 2
  • Gardening tools
  • Curtains
  • Carpets
  • Clothing
  • New pair of walking shoes
  • Supermarket food voucher x 2

These are all considered to be 'non-essential' items by many. Just look at the smile on former RCT Mechanic Dave's face when we gave him a few simple items to make his life that bit more comfortable.
