Paratrooper Ben Parkinson has recently become Patron of Project 65.
Lance Bombardier Ben Parkinson was seriously wounded in a landmine explosion in Afghanistan over 2 years ago suffering 37 serious injuries including the loss of both legs, spinal and brain injuries. Ben's remarkable recovery was recognised recently with his 'Millie' award for Overcoming Adversity.
Project 65 Chairman Danny Greeno said "We are extremely proud to be working with Ben. His courage and attitude to helping others like him are a huge inspiration to us all at Project 65. Ben is already attending many of our events around the UK and wears his dogtag with pride. I am told by his family that he never takes it off! We only hope that our efforts and the money we raise will go to helping other wounded soldiers, airmen and sailors so that they are able to face their recovery with the same incredible attitude that Ben has shown."
